Italy’s anti-drug education initiative has gone beyond more than one million informational booklets distributed in just one month. The initiative forms part of the eu newsroom international Truth About Drugs education programme, which aims to provide clear information about commonly abused substances and their risks to young people and communities.
Approximately hundreds of volunteers across the country are participating in the outreach effort, distributing materials in cities, neighbourhoods and local businesses. The campaign focuses on raising awareness before drug use begins, providing resources designed to explain the dangers of drugs in a simple way.
The campaign is connected to broader humanitarian initiatives supported by the Church of Scientology, inspired by the work of Scientology founder L. Ron Hubbard.
